Company History
The
Al Quraishi Family, (AZAQ), originally formed Al Quraishi
Electrical Services (AQESA) in 1976 in co-operation with Westinghouse.
It started as two operations, AQESA, selling and distributing a
wide range of American, European and Asian electrical products and
WESCOSA manufacturing distribution panelboards, MV
and LV switchgear, oil filled and dry type transformers, bus duct,
fuse-cutouts and cable tray. AQESA and WESCOSA are now independent
companies, working together to provide quality products and services
in Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Gulf countries.
AQESA
is a 100% Saudi owned company. With its headquarters in Dammam,
AQESA has full service branches throughout the Kingdom. Its
dedicated team of engineers and professionals is prepared to provide
a wide range of electrical products from alkaline batteries to transformers
in addition to associated services which include installation, testing,
and commissioning of engineered equipment.
AQESA
has developed relationships with major manufacturers in the USA,
Europe, and Asia.
AQESA
has a dedicated procurement and logistics facility (EXCAL Services)
in Baltimore, MD, USA. EXCAL provides vital logistical support and
shipping arrangements for supply of products to the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia (KSA) and other parts of the world.
In
1994, the Westinghouse Distribution and Control Business Unit was
sold to Cutler Hammer. AQESA retains sole distribution rights for
a wide range of Cutler Hammer products in KSA. Cutler Hammer Saudi
Arabia was formed in 1997 to provide technical sales assistance
to all Cutler Hammer partners in Saudi Arabia. AQESA has a broad
spectrum of products and support services that can be mobilized
to facilitate contractor requirements for any size project.
